I had an idea, that i wanted to design a cubby house for children. As i know from personal experience, kids do not get tired of playing in cubby houses easily! The concept i designed features a hardened cardboard structure which is detatchable so the house can be stored away and reassembled at any time. The house includes a variety of portholes to see outside and an opaque cotton roofing, although not as many portholes as to obscure the child’s sense of security and disconnection from the outside world. This is so they can use their imagination to take them on adventures into different worlds. Instead of sticking with the theme of technology, i decided to incorperate a painting board, not an electronic screen, which the kids can draw on to make the cubby house a spaceship, a house under the sea or whatever they so please.
